Spain municipal governments launch various road and infrastructure improvement projects

Several municipalities in Spain have announced or initiated significant infrastructure projects focused on road maintenance and urban improvements.

In Torrevieja, paving works are underway in the La Mata area, covering nearly 15,000 square meters across five streets and avenues. This is part of a larger 6.3 million euro municipal contract to renovate over 327,000 square meters of streets in the north and south zones of the municipality.

Estepona has also launched a tender for a municipal paving plan with a budget exceeding 6.3 million euros, targeting 74 streets and avenues to improve road safety and urban mobility. Similarly, the City Council of Telde has begun asphalt works in the Las Huesas neighborhood, part of a broader municipal plan that has already covered approximately 270 streets with an investment exceeding 6 million euros.

In Ciudad Real, the local government is finalizing a new paving plan for 2027, with an initial investment of approximately one million euros to improve around 30 streets. Additionally, the council approved a 120,000 euro project to repair rural paths damaged by winter storms and a 48,000 euro project to upgrade lighting in a local park.

Other regional updates include the completion of road improvements in Alba de Tormes and localized asphalt repairs scheduled in Villena.
