Spanish municipalities approve urban planning modifications
Municipal councils in Redondela and Montoro have approved urban planning modifications to address local land use and development needs.
In Redondela, the council unanimously approved a modification to classify the Vilar de Mato area as a rural nucleus. This decision provides legal stability to more than twenty families who had faced urban planning limitations for nearly forty years. The measure aims to resolve long-standing property issues without waiting for the approval of the new General Municipal Urban Development Plan (PXOM).
In Montoro, all political groups approved changes to subsidiary regulations to classify land for the Tecnóleum industrial park as organized urbanizable land. The project, promoted by Parque Industrial Montoro Siglo XXI, covers approximately 288,867 square meters near the A-4 highway. The park is designed to support industrial activities, specifically focusing on innovation within the olive oil sector, and includes roughly 202,206 square meters of buildable area.
