Spanish municipalities host cycling events to promote mobility
Various municipalities in Spain are hosting cycling events to promote sports and sustainable mobility. In Valdoviño, the local government is organizing a new edition of ‘Día de la Bicicleta’ at the As Forcadas reservoir. The 11 km route, characterized by unusually low water levels that reveal old submerged structures, is designed for families and children. The event includes a raffle and requires the use of helmets.
In Mislata, more than 300 participants took part in a five-kilometer ride through the city as part of the European Mobility Week. Organized by the City Council and the Peña Ciclista de Mislata, the event focused on road safety and sustainable transport. Additionally, local officials announced that the municipal bicycle rental service, BiciMislata, will transition to an entirely electric fleet to improve user experience and encourage regular cycling.
