Spanish municipalities implement mobile recycling points

Local governments in Teulada Moraira and Mos are enhancing waste management through the deployment of mobile recycling points designed to collect specialized waste that cannot be disposed of in standard containers.

In Teulada Moraira, three strategic locations have been established to provide proximity for residents and visitors. These mobile units accept a wide range of items, including small appliances, light bulbs, batteries, cables, mobile phones, and coffee capsules.

In Mos, a new mobile module has been launched in O Rebullón to facilitate the selective collection of textiles, used cooking oils, and electronic waste. This initiative was supported by a grant from the Consellería de Medio Ambiente e Cambio Climático and co-financed by the European Union through the Galicia Feder 2021-2027 program. The implementation of these resources coincides with Mos receiving the Galicia Green Flag for the second consecutive year.
