Spanish municipalities invest in local sports infrastructure

Municipalities in Spain are investing in local sports infrastructure. In Tortosa, the city council has begun works to cover the outdoor track of the Temple pavilion. This project, costing approximately 325,490 euros, will transform the area into a 1,341-square-meter indoor multi-sport facility. The new space is designed to meet Catalan Sports Council requirements and will allow local clubs to expand their training schedules while remaining open to the public.

In Xàtiva, the city council has allocated 60,439.50 euros to renew athletics equipment at the Les Pereres Municipal Sports Center. The purchase includes new high-absorption landing zones for high jump and pole vault disciplines. The new equipment is intended to meet World Athletics and Spanish Athletics Federation standards, enabling the facility to host official federated competitions and high-level events.
