Spanish municipalities invest in sports and cultural facility renovations

Municipalities in Spain are undertaking various facility upgrades. In Calp, the Pavelló Ifac is set to reopen on September 7 following a comprehensive renovation costing 38,557 euros. The works, completed in August, focused on restoring the parquet flooring through sanding, treating, and varnishing to improve safety and longevity. Additional improvements include new lighting in hallways and locker rooms, updated signage, new goals, and new carpeting for rhythmic gymnastics. Looking ahead, artist Julieta XLF is scheduled to create a mural in the pavilion during October and November, and the replacement of water heaters is planned for early 2027.

In Estepona, the Centro Cultural Padre Manuel is undergoing a 102,000 euro modernization project. The upgrades include renewing flooring in high-traffic areas such as entrances and corridors to improve maintenance and aesthetics. Furthermore, the auditorium will receive 150 new seats to enhance comfort for public events, conferences, and cultural programming.
