Spanish municipalities invest in sports facility upgrades
Municipalities in Spain are investing in the modernization of sports facilities. In Granada, the city council has completed the renovation of a basketball court in the Beiro district as part of the ‘Conéctate al Deporte’ program. This project, involving a 30,000 euro investment from the Chamber of Commerce of Granada, aims to improve outdoor sports offerings and public spaces.
In Alicante, the City Council has approved a tender for 196,258 euros to replace the wooden flooring at the Centro de Tecnificación. The new parquet will be FIBA Level 1 certified, allowing the venue to host high-level basketball competitions. The new modular system is designed for rapid assembly and disassembly, which will facilitate the hosting of non-sporting events such as concerts and congresses.
