Spanish municipalities launch business and SME subsidy programs

Municipalities in Spain have launched new subsidy programs to support local businesses, freelancers, and large industries.

In Alcalá de Guadaíra, a new call for applications is open until October 13 for grants of up to 5,000 euros. The initiative aims to promote digital modernization and competitiveness. Support is divided into three lines: ICT and e-commerce for micro-enterprises (up to 3,000 euros), marketing and facility improvements for commerce (up to 5,000 euros), and Industry 4.0 technological solutions (up to 60% coverage). Applications must be submitted electronically through the municipal website.

In El Burgo de Osma, the local government has announced an extraordinary 500,000 euro fund to strengthen the economic fabric and prevent industrial relocation. The program, signed by Mayor Antonio Pardo Capilla, features three distinct lines of support. Large companies can receive up to 75,000 euros for productive investments of at least 300,000 euros, provided they maintain permanent employment. Other lines are dedicated to SMEs and freelancers. The application period is open for one month, concluding on October 17, 2026.
