Spanish municipalities launch new seasonal sports programs
Municipalities in Spain are launching new sports initiatives for the upcoming season. In Almería, the City Council has opened registrations for a kayak route as part of its ‘Muévete’ program. Scheduled for September 19, the 4.6-kilometer excursion will depart from the El Palmeral Nautical Canal and travel toward the Cargadero del Mineral. The activity, led by guide Emiliano Meca Abad, is limited to 20 participants and is designed for medium difficulty levels. A second session is planned for September 26.
In Ronda, the Sports Area has announced its municipal programming for the 2026-2027 season, running through June 30. The offering includes physical maintenance, pilates, paddle tennis, and zumba for adults, alongside municipal sports schools for children and youth aged 5 to 16, covering football, volleyball, tennis, and paddle tennis. Activities will primarily take place at the El Fuerte Sports Complex and the San Francisco Pavilion.
