Spanish municipalities renew disability inclusion initiatives
Municipalities in Spain are renewing partnerships to promote disability inclusion and social awareness.
In Herencia, the City Council has renewed its collaboration agreement with the sports club ASODISAL. The agreement includes a municipal contribution of 3,500 euros and the provision of sports facilities and other necessary resources. This partnership aims to maintain adapted sports activities throughout the year, providing people with disabilities with spaces for personal development and social participation.
In Albacete, the City Council and the retailer El Corte Inglés have renewed their agreement to develop awareness activities through the Municipal Disability Council. The collaboration focuses on promoting equality and integration. El Corte Inglés will support various initiatives, including providing materials for the Equality March and sponsoring activities related to Disability Day in September and International Day of Persons with Disabilities in December.
