Spanish municipalities renovate school facilities ahead of new term

Municipalities in Spain are conducting various infrastructure improvements in schools ahead of the new academic year.

In Alhaurín de la Torre, the local government is renovating sports court lines in schoolyards, including CEIP Algazara and IES Galileo. These works include adapting markings for minibasket to accommodate younger students and improving visibility on outdoor courts.

In Llanes, more than 135,000 euros are being invested in the Peña Tú public school. Improvements include painting the school facades, upgrading the multi-sport pavilion to prevent rainwater from entering during storms, and preparing a complete renovation of the playground area for children aged 3 to 6.
