Spanish municipalities unveil new sculptures to honor local culture
Municipalities in Spain are expanding their urban and cultural heritage through new sculptural installations.
In Villaviciosa, the local government has added a wooden sculpture-bench to its tourist route. Created by sculptor Eugenio Linares, the piece features a cow's head and is intended as a permanent tribute to the region's livestock and rural culture. The installation is located at the site of the Concurso Ganadero del Portal.
In Almonte, the city inaugurated a sculpture titled ‘Alma en Movimiento’ (Soul in Motion). Created by artist Jorge Estefano Leiva, the work honors rhythmic gymnastics and the local athletes and coaches who have represented the municipality in the sport.
