Spanish National Police conduct arrests in El Puerto and Palencia

The Spanish National Police have carried out separate investigations resulting in arrests in El Puerto de Santa María and Palencia.

In El Puerto de Santa María, Cádiz, one person was detained following an investigation into illegal security services at a construction site. Authorities discovered individuals performing security guard duties without the required professional qualifications. Additionally, the company responsible for the surveillance lacked the necessary administrative authorization to operate in the sector. The investigation, conducted by the Local Private Security Unit, determined that the activities went beyond routine maintenance and included the protection of assets, which is subject to specific legal requirements.

In Palencia, four individuals were arrested in connection with two cases of fictitious municipal registration (empadronamiento). The investigation, led by the Provincial Foreigners and Borders Brigade, revealed that individuals were registered at addresses where they did not actually reside to facilitate immigration procedures. Two people face charges for document falsification, while two others are investigated for aiding irregular immigration. Police reports indicate that property owners facilitated these registrations in exchange for money.
