Spanish National Police hold award ceremonies in Sevilla and Elche
The Spanish National Police (Policía Nacional) held commemorative ceremonies in Sevilla and Elche to celebrate the feast of the Holy Guardian Angels, the corps' patron saints.
In Sevilla, an institutional event at the FIBES Exhibition and Congress Center saw the presentation of 103 Police Merit Crosses with white distinction to officers for extraordinary service. Additionally, 14 crosses were awarded to non-police personnel for significant collaboration. The ceremony included a tribute to fallen agents, and the Superior Chief emphasized the need for empathy and dedication in service, while also warning about the rise of cybercrime.
In Elche, a ceremony held at Plaza de Baix recognized 13 inspectors, officers, and agents with the Police Merit Cross. The event, presided over by Mayor Pablo Ruz and Chief Inspector Roberto Sánchez, also honored various local entities and figures with institutional plaques. During the proceedings, officials reaffirmed the corps' constitutional commitment to protecting civil rights and ensuring public safety.
