Spanish National Police to reopen María Teresa disappearance case

The Spanish National Police have announced a comprehensive review of the disappearance of María Teresa, a young woman from Motril who went missing on August 18, 2000, during a local fair.

Marking 26 years since her disappearance, investigators intend to restart the case from the beginning using advanced forensic techniques and additional personnel. Her parents, Antonio Fernández and Teresa Martín, have issued a plea for anyone with information to come forward, noting that new investigative methods and personnel may provide insights that were unavailable when the incident first occurred.
