Spanish open-water swimming events scheduled for August

Several open-water swimming competitions are scheduled to take place in Spain this August.

The 85th Travesia a Nado Puerto de Motril, organized by the Real Club Nautico de Motril, will be held on Saturday, August 15. The event features an 1,800-metre race for adults starting at 10:00 am and a 500-metre race for younger swimmers at 11:00 am. Both races will take place within the Motril port basin.

Additionally, the sixth edition of the Travesia a Nado Ciudad de Marbella is set for August 22 at Playa de El Cable. Organized by the Club Natación Marbella, the event offers four different distances: 100 metres for athletes with disabilities, 300 metres for children born between 2011 and 2018, and two adult categories covering 1,300 and 2,400 metres. Notably, wetsuits are not permitted for this competition.
