Spanish organizations hold charity events for breast cancer research

Various charitable initiatives have been organized in Spain to support the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) and raise awareness for breast cancer research and prevention.

In Badajoz, the ‘Badajoz Baila contra el cáncer de mama’ event took place in the Plaza de Conquistadores. The initiative featured a solidarity dance masterclass led by five instructors, covering styles such as salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbia, and reggaeton. Participants paid an eight-euro registration fee, which included a commemorative t-shirt and water, to support patients and research.

In Almería, the Music Unit of the Legion (Brigada Rey Alfonso XIII) performed a benefit concert at the Auditorio Maestro Padilla. The 32-member ensemble, directed by Lieutenant Javier Vicente Vallejo Climent, performed a repertoire ranging from traditional legionary music to modern pieces. The event was attended by AECC President Magdalena Cantero and local officials to support the 12,500 residents in the region currently facing the disease.
