Spanish police arrest four for exploiting immigrants in Fuenlabrada
Spanish National Police have arrested four individuals—three men and one woman—in Fuenlabrada for their alleged involvement in a criminal organization focused on labor exploitation. The group targeted undocumented immigrants through social media, messaging apps, and word-of-mouth within church congregations.
According to investigators, the suspects lured victims with false promises of employment contracts and assistance with legal residency status. Once recruited, the workers were forced to perform grueling shifts of up to 14 hours, six days a week, often walking long distances while pushing carts loaded with goods. The exploitation was severe, with workers reportedly receiving as little as ‘70 cents per package delivered’ for home delivery services.
