Spanish police arrest individuals in separate drug and luxury theft operations
Mossos d’Esquadra have conducted two distinct criminal investigations resulting in arrests in Catalonia.
In Palau d’Anglesola, a 51-year-old man was arrested for the third time for drug trafficking. Police investigations revealed he used a residence and a warehouse to store and prepare substances, including 50 grams of cocaine and 500 grams of hashish. The suspect reportedly used two vehicles, including a high-end model, to conduct transactions with buyers across the Pla d’Urgell and Garrigues regions.
In a separate operation, authorities dismantled a criminal group responsible for a series of robberies targeting luxury homes, including those of FC Barcelona players Pau Cubarsí and Joan García. The group, which included an Albanian-Kosovar man with extensive criminal history, a 51-year-old Spanish man linked to a cocaine smuggling ring, and a 40-year-old Spanish woman, was apprehended following a tip regarding the sale of stolen luxury watches on the black market. The robberies occurred in the Maresme, Baix Llobregat, and Garraf areas.
