Spanish Police deploy armored vehicles to Ceuta

The Spanish National Police have reinforced their presence in Ceuta by deploying two BMR armored vehicles and a Hummer from the Police Intervention Unit (UIP). These resources will be used for public order and security operations, including the planned dismantling of migrant settlements, such as the one located at Trampolín beach.

This deployment occurs ahead of the upcoming visit by King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia to Ceuta and Melilla, scheduled for October 13. The royal visit follows a period of significant migratory pressure in the autonomous city and follows discussions between the King and Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez regarding the conditions of the trip.
