Spanish police detain suspects in robbery and sexual assault cases

The Spanish Guardia Civil arrested two men in Motilla del Palancar, Cuenca, accusing them of a series of about twenty robberies targeting homes, bars and vehicles across Cuenca and Toledo provinces. The operation, named “Jues,” involved a home raid and resulted in four arrests, including two women allegedly trying to aid the suspects.

Separately, the National Police in Elda, Alicante, detained three men aged 20 to 25 on suspicion of a group sexual assault that allegedly occurred during the Moros y Cristianos festivities in late May. The victims reported being forced into non‑consensual intercourse after initially refusing. The suspects were placed under provisional release pending further judicial investigation.
