Spanish police dismantle cocaine and fuel supply networks in Cádiz province

Spain's National Police have broken up a criminal group distributing cocaine and hashish in Sanlúcar de Barrameda and surrounding towns of Jerez de la Frontera, El Puerto de Santa María and Puerto Real. The raid resulted in the arrest of three main suspects, the seizure of about 400 g of cocaine, 17 kg of hashish, more than €75,000 in cash and equipment used for drug packaging and distribution.

In a related series of operations, police intercepted three large vehicles carrying roughly 700 drums of gasoline – about 17,375 litres – intended to refuel narcolanchas, the fast boats used by drug traffickers to operate off the coast of Cádiz. The interventions in San Fernando, Conil and Villamartín led to four arrests, with one detainee already placed in prison. The seizures expose a growing logistics network that supplies fuel to narco‑lancha operations, extending beyond the coastal area into inland storage points.
