Spanish police dismantle robbery gang responsible for 60+ thefts in Madrid and Toledo
The Guardia Civil has detained seven members of a criminal group in an operation dubbed “Plomba”. The suspects were linked to more than 60 robberies carried out across the provinces of Madrid and Toledo, targeting truck cabins at service areas, banks, post offices and kiosks using specialized tools and electronic devices.
Authorities recovered five stolen vans and five high‑end cars used by the gang, along with altered licence plates, a cache of stolen goods, and the technical equipment employed in the thefts. The raids involved units from the Madrid Citizen Security Command, the Reserve and Security Group, and local police forces from Seseña, Añover de Tajo and Pantoja.
