Spanish police rescue a teen and an infant in separate emergencies

In Zaragoza, officers from the National Police of Spain responded to a bar where a young man had sliced his wrist on a broken glass pane. The officers applied a tourniquet, stopping the bleeding and allowing emergency medical services to transport the victim to hospital.

In El Prat de Llobregat, two members of the local police force intervened when a one‑year‑old child began choking on a piece of bread. Using a Heimlich‑type maneuver adapted for infants, they cleared the airway, after which the child was taken to Hospital Sant Joan de Déu, treated in intensive care and later released fully recovered.
