Spanish police seize cocaine in Socovos and Moratalla, arrest two traffickers

Guardia Civil officers stopped a 61‑year‑old man in Socovos, Albacete, after a vehicle inspection on the CM‑3217 road uncovered 59 grams of cocaine in the glove compartment. The seized amount could yield about 590 doses, which police say were removed from the illegal market. The detainee was placed before the court in Hellín as part of the "Plan Turismo Seguro" operation aimed at protecting both residents and tourists.

In a separate operation in Moratalla, Murcia, agents arrested a young suspect early on a night in a local entertainment district. The raid seized roughly a hundred doses of cocaine, several grams of hashish and a large quantity of cash in fragmented bills, intended for resale. The man, who already had prior drug‑related convictions, was under surveillance for weeks before the arrest.

Both cases were handled by the Guardia Civil and demonstrate ongoing efforts to curb drug trafficking in Spain’s interior regions.
