Spanish prosecutors corroborate Aldama's bribery allegations against Grupo Azvi

The Spanish Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office has stated that allegations made by businessman Víctor de Aldama regarding alleged bribes in public works contracts have been “corroborated by other evidentiary elements.”

This development directly impacts Grupo Azvi, a construction firm involved in high-speed rail renovations between Madrid and Seville, including works in the Adamuz area of Córdoba. The prosecutor, Alejandro Luzón, issued the statement in response to a legal challenge by Azvi's president, Manuel Contreras Caro, who had sought to sue Aldama for libel and slander.

The investigation into alleged illicit commissions for public works contracts remains ongoing in the Central Court of Instruction number 2 of the National Court. While judicial sources note that Contreras does not currently hold the status of an investigated party, they suggest his legal standing could change as the instruction phase progresses.
