Andalusia launches major road upgrades in Vera Playa and Málaga provinces

The Diputación of Almería and the Vera town council announced a €4.4 million project to convert more than three kilometres of the AL‑7107 in Vera Playa into a sustainable urban boulevard. The plan adds separate bike and pedestrian lanes, traffic‑calming measures and a new roundabout, and is part of a €15 million investment for the Levante Almeriense area. President José Antonio García Alcaina highlighted the broader transformation, while mayor Alfonso García Ramos called the work “tan esperada”.

In Málaga province, the Diputación de Málaga is completing the final phase of a €1.2 million upgrade of the MA‑3107 between Benamargosa and Riogordo. Deputy Nieves Atencia said the work, scheduled to finish after the summer, will restore the road surface, improve drainage and reinforce embankments to enhance safety for motorists and local communities.
