Various Spanish provincial councils approve local infrastructure and social funding
Several provincial councils in Spain have announced new funding allocations for regional improvements and social programs.
In Málaga, the Diputación has approved a tender exceeding 2 million euros to replace approximately 15,600 traffic signs and safety elements across 118 provincial roads. The project includes the installation of 27 informative speed radars and will be divided into four operational zones.
In Cuenca, the Diputación is distributing nearly 78,000 euros among twelve municipalities through the CONCILIA 2026 program. These funds aim to support family work-life balance via summer schools, sports activities, and educational spaces. Seven municipalities, including Las Mesas and Iniesta, will receive the maximum grant of 8,000 euros.
In Cádiz, the local government has approved an 845,000 euro asphalt paving plan for 2026, funded by the provincial 'Cádiz en Marcha' program. The works will target multiple streets across the city, including Avenida del Puerto and the La Paz neighborhood.
Additionally, the Diputación of Toledo has allocated over 20,000 euros to five social entities to support vulnerable groups, including a project for families affected by brain damage. In Puertollano, the City Council donated 2,000 euros to the Santa Águeda Association to support cancer research.
