Spanish referee appointed for Olympiacos vs. Panathinaikos derby

The Central Refereeing Committee (KED) has appointed Spanish referee Alejandro José Hernández Hernández to officiate the upcoming Stoiximan Super League derby between Olympiacos and Panathinaikos at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium.

Hernández Hernández, 43, is an elite official with extensive experience in La Liga and international competitions, including the Champions League and the 2026 World Cup. His officiating crew for the match will include Spanish assistants José Enrique Naranjo Pérez and Marcos Therdán Aguilar, with Valentín Pitaro Gómez serving as the VAR official.

In addition to the main derby, KED announced the officiating assignments for the rest of the 6th matchday, including Giorgos Kokkinos for the AEK vs. OFI match and Alexandros Katsikogiannis for the PAOK vs. Kalamata fixture.
