Spanish regional authorities announce business modernization grants

Local governments in Spain have launched new subsidy programs to support small businesses and micro-enterprises.

In Amposta, the City Council has allocated 60,000 euros to modernize local commerce and service establishments. The grants cover up to 50% of eligible costs, with a limit of 6,000 euros per business. Funding is intended for technological improvements, security systems, energy efficiency, and sustainability measures, such as the use of biodegradable packaging or facility renovations. Applications are open until November 27.

In Zamora, the Provincial Council is distributing one million euros among 181 micro-enterprises. These subsidies, ranging from 1,500 to 15,000 euros each, aim to mobilize two million euros in total business investment. The program targets sectors including hospitality, agriculture, agro-industry, and various local services, with a specific focus on promoting growth and employment in rural areas.
