Spanish regional governments allocate €8.8 million to Alicante municipalities and €70 k to Almería youth projects
The Diputación de Alicante will spend €8,854,492 under the Plan +Cerca and Bono Consumo programmes to fund 33 municipalities and three smaller entities in the Marina Alta area. The money will cover operating costs such as personnel, maintenance, utilities and services for public facilities, with grants up to €500,000 per municipality; Xàbia is slated to receive €411,605.
The Junta de Andalucía, through the Institute of Youth and the relevant ministry, has approved more than €70,000 for twelve local councils in Almería province. Grants of up to €6,000 per council will support projects on civic participation, artistic creation, environmental awareness and health for young people, including events in Adra, Pulpí, Olula del Río, Tíjola and Vélez‑Rubio. The initiative aims to promote balanced lifestyles, entrepreneurship and community values among the region’s youth.
