Spanish regional governments implement employment and rural development strategies
In Andalusia, Employment Minister Rocío Blanco presented strategic lines for the new legislative term, emphasizing the connection between companies, employment, and economic development. Blanco highlighted that the region has seen a significant increase in employment since 2018, noting nearly 591,000 more workers and 258,511 fewer unemployed persons compared to that period. Key priorities include supporting the self-employed, providing incentives for the productive sector, and continuing administrative simplification and process automation.
In Castilla-La Mancha, regional delegate Blanca Fernández highlighted efforts to foster rural development through the Entreparques Rural Development Group. Using European funds and 2.7 million euros in regional aid, the initiative has mobilized a total investment of four million euros. This support has driven 89 projects over the last two years, resulting in the creation of 20 new companies and more than 25 jobs within the participating municipalities.
