Spanish regional sports: Sporting Atlético and Extremadura basketball updates

In Spanish youth football, Sporting Atlético remains in contention for the Copa del Rey despite a 2-0 loss to Cádiz CF. Currently sitting in sixth place in the División de Honor Juvenil Group IV with 16 points, the Ceuta-based team is only one point away from fourth place, which would grant automatic qualification for the tournament. Sevilla leads the group with 23 points, followed by Real Betis with 22.

In basketball, the Segunda FEB Group A shows contrasting starts for Extremadura teams. Cáceres Patrimonio y de la Humanidad holds second place with a 4-1 record, driven by high offensive efficiency, including the group's best two-point shooting percentage at 58.1%. Conversely, Iren BCB Badajoz sits at the bottom of the standings with a 1-4 record, struggling with low scoring averages and poor shooting percentages.
