Spanish regulator fines influencers Ibai Llanos, Jordi Wild, Nachter

Spain's competition market regulator, the CNMC, imposed fines on three high‑profile influencers for breaches of advertising and content rules. Ibai Llanos received a €710 fine, reduced to €568 after early payment, for not labeling a beverage brand promotion on X during the "La Velada" boxing event. Jordi Wild was penalised €1,543 (reduced to €1,241) for failing to provide age‑appropriate warnings and classifications for extreme contact‑sport videos on his YouTube channels. Nachter was fined €1,779 (reduced to €1,067) for promoting over‑the‑counter medication on Instagram and Facebook without the required health‑product advertising disclosures. The CNMC highlighted that these infractions violate the General Audiovisual Communication Law, which mandates clear identification of commercial content, protection of minors, and specific advertising requirements for medicines. The regulator recently acquired a €33,000 software tool to automatically detect such violations, marking a new phase in monitoring influencer activity.
