Spanish regulators fine Soltec and Lyntia for market and competition violations

The Spanish securities market regulator CNMV imposed a €190,000 fine on Soltec Power Holdings after the company disclosed incorrect 2023 financial results, breaching market‑abuse rules and transparency obligations. The sanction, published in the Boletín Oficial del Estado on 17 July, follows Soltec’s failure to correct the figures despite auditor Ernst & Young’s objections.

Separately, the competition authority CNMC opened a sanction proceeding against Lyntia Networks for not submitting the required annual reports on time for the 2023 and 2024 periods. The reports, related to Lyntia’s purchase of Iberdrola’s fiber‑optic rights, were late and incomplete, violating the conditions imposed on the 2019 acquisition to ensure non‑discriminatory access to dark fiber. The regulator may now initiate formal penalties.
