Spanish rural towns launch local sports programs

In the Granada province village of Moclín, a single futsal academy has begun training around twenty children from nearby hamlets, bringing the sport to an area with sparse services and a declining population. The initiative highlights community effort to revitalize activity in the "Granada vaciada".

Meanwhile, the Maestrazgo comarca in Aragon announced its 2026 summer sports schedule, offering swimming, aquagym, adult swim classes, and summer camps for children and adults across municipalities such as Allepuz, Fortanete and La Cuba. Participation costs €40 for regular service users and €45 for others, with registrations open until 23 June via the regional sports website.
