Spanish Singer Rulo Announces March Release for New Album

Raúl Gutiérrez, known as Rulo, announced that his next solo album is expected to be released in March. He said the record is about ninety percent finished and only one or two songs remain to be recorded. Rulo also confirmed his plan to record a duet album with notable artists such as Joaquín Sabina and Andrés Calamaro, and expressed a wish to collaborate with Antonio Vega, Enrique Urquijo and Robe Iniesta.

The announcement was made during a conversation titled “Con mis canciones pa' aquí, con mis canciones pa' allá” held at El Torco in Suances. The event was part of the cultural program of the University of Cantabria’s Summer Courses, organized in collaboration with the Suances municipality. In the interview Rulo reflected on his three‑decade career, recalling how a Los Suaves concert as a child sparked his vocation, and he emphasized that being a singer has shaped him as a person. He also described songwriting as a solitary act that can take months, yet sometimes a song appears suddenly and is destined for the album.
