Spanish Socialist Party considers Mediaset for electoral debates

The Spanish Socialist Party (PSOE) has indicated it will not veto Mediaset as a participant in upcoming electoral debates, despite recent controversies involving the broadcaster's programming. The PSOE is seeking a joint debate organized by both Mediaset and Atresmedia on November 16, whereas other political factions have expressed interest in organizing solo encounters.

The decision comes amid criticism of certain Mediaset programs, such as ‘El tiempo justo’, following controversial segments involving vulnerable individuals. Additionally, Mediaset's ‘Horizonte’ has recently seen high viewership, notably during an interview with Santiago Abascal, which contributed to the program outperforming ‘La Revuelta’ in recent audience ratings.
