Spanish sparkling wine producers celebrate 50 years of Brut Nature
Two Spanish sparkling wine producers are celebrating the 50th anniversary of their signature Brut Nature expressions, both originally created in 1976.
Juvé & Camps is marking five decades of its Reserva de la Familia, a Brut Nature sparkling wine that has been part of its travel retail portfolio for over 20 years. The product is distributed in 60 countries and has received accolades from Wine Spectator and Decanter. CEO Meritxell Juvé noted that the wine remains a pure expression of the brand’s understanding of terroir.
Torelló is also celebrating 50 years of its Tradicional Brut Nature. Produced in the Penedès region, the wine is made from traditional white varieties including Macabeo, Xarel·lo, and Parellada. The producer noted the evolution of the sparkling wine category from its early days to the current Corpinnat designation. The estate, Can Martí, has been cultivated by the same family for 22 generations and transitioned to organic farming, completing certification in 2016.
