Spanish sports bodies sign regional collaboration agreements

The Extremadura‑based Fundación Jóvenes y Deporte and the regional bank Ibercaja have renewed a cooperation pact for 2026, committing 10,000 euros (including 5,000 in cash and the use of facilities) to support projects that use sport as a tool for education, social cohesion and opportunity. A key element of the agreement is the IV Simposio “Comunicación Deportiva en el Siglo XXI,” which will bring together sports professionals, media and academics.

In southern Spain, the Federation of Football of the Region of Murcia and the Real Federación Andaluza de Fútbol have agreed to allow 34 clubs from Almería, representing 732 federation licences, to compete in Murcia’s leagues. The arrangement reduces travel distances, cuts costs for clubs and families, and promotes sustainable mobility while supporting youth, senior, futsal and women’s football competitions.
