Spanish sports clubs begin preseason training amid international call-ups

Spanish sports clubs CV Guaguas and Hozono Global Jairis Alcantarilla are entering their preseason phases.

CV Guaguas is intensifying training under coach Sergio Camarero ahead of their debut against Cisneros Tenerife in La Gomera on September 12. The volleyball team is currently training with a reduced squad as central players Martín Ramos and Miki Fornés are away on national team duties for Argentina and Spain, respectively. The club is also working to finalize a new receiver for the upcoming season.

In basketball, Hozono Global Jairis Alcantarilla begins preseason training on September 1. The team will be missing key players Emily Bessoir (Germany) and Massey (Belgium), who are participating in the Women's Basketball World Cup in Berlin. The club is preparing for the Supercopa in Torrejón de Ardoz and the upcoming Liga Femenina Endesa and EuroCup seasons.
