Spanish Summer Art Exhibitions Extend Through August

Alba López Santos' multidisciplinary show "Alma silenciada" has extended its run at the Espacio Medarde in Guadalajara until 28 August, offering free public access. The exhibition, inaugurated on 24 June, explores themes of bodily erosion and eating‑disorder‑related loss of self, with the artist describing it as a vulnerable yet honest artistic process.

In Madrid, Greta Alfaro's installation "Ofertorio" occupies Nave 0 of Matadero, transforming the former slaughterhouse into a ritual‑like temple. The work features a rotating lamp of butcher knives, red‑lit curtains of bones, and a 18th‑century wax figure, critiquing the spectacle of consumption and the industrialization of death. The exhibition is set to close in a few days, marking one of the most striking summer displays in the city.
