Spain hosts a series of summer cultural festivals and concerts

A string of summer events took place across Spain, ranging from sports charity tournaments to music and theatre performances. In Sepúlveda, the IX Beneficial Paddle Tournament concluded with Marcos Cristóbal and David Sánchez winning, and the proceeds will fund local cultural and festive projects. Torrent celebrated its patron saint festivities with a large children's parade. Singer‑songwriter Guitarricadelafuente performed in Santander as part of the Santander Music festival. The Mazagón fair opened with a schedule of concerts, awards and sporting activities. León hosted an international jazz seminar featuring lecturers and public jam sessions. Puertollano welcomed the band Manchelos for a free street‑music concert. Sobradillo held a costume contest that included whimsical groups and a tribute to the Spanish national football team. Albacete’s Parque La Unión presented a family show of stories, music and magic. Alicante’s FRESCA! festival ended with a choreography by María Pagés and a family circus act. Gondomar offered a free blues concert by Javier Vargas and the launch of his new album. Jerez de la Frontera’s Tío Pepe Festival featured performances by Antonio José, Luz Casal and M‑Clan. Madrid’s Veranos de la Villa continued with flamenco tributes and homages to iconic artists. Mérida’s New City district organized a week of water slides, music and gastronomy. Langreo staged a street‑theatre production for children, and Cabanillas held an indoor children’s disco. All events aimed to promote cultural participation, support local traditions and provide free entertainment during the summer months.
