Spain secures major medals in basketball and paralympic swimming

Spain has achieved significant success in international sports competitions, securing medals in both women's basketball and paralympic swimming.

The Spanish women's basketball team earned a bronze medal at the World Cup in Germany. Led by veteran Alba Torrens and rising talents like Iyana Martín and Awa Fam, the team managed to overcome Germany in a competitive match to secure their place on the podium.

In paralympic swimming, the Spanish delegation concluded the European Championships in Kocaeli, Turkey, with a total of 46 medals, including 9 golds, 17 silvers, and 20 bronzes. Notable performances included Albert Gelis, who set a new world record in the 100m backstroke S11, and Teresa Perales, who secured gold in the 50m backstroke S2. Other gold medalists included María Delgado, Beatriz Lérida, and Jacobo Garrido.
