Spanish tech firms launch digital tools for new DeCA transport regulations

Spanish technology companies Clavei and Billtonic are launching digital solutions to comply with the new Electronic Administrative Control Document (DeCA) regulations for road freight transport. The mandate requires the replacement of paper documentation with digital records that must be generated before a journey begins.

Clavei has integrated DeCA into its Netagro ERP software, specifically targeting the agrifood and horticultural sectors. This update aims to ensure traceability for shippers, carriers, and distributors, helping them meet the requirements of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility without operational friction.

Bilttonic has introduced the QR DeCA application to facilitate the creation and organization of these electronic documents. The new regulation, set for full implementation by October 5, 2026, requires a native digital PDF accompanied by a unique URL and QR code. The tool allows for the input of essential data, including contractual loaders, effective carriers, vehicle details, and cargo characteristics, ensuring information is accessible during inspections.
