Spanish television launches new investigative series using AI

Spanish television is introducing new investigative formats utilizing advanced technology. Telemadrid will premiere ‘La huella del crimen’ on September 15, a true crime series produced by Mediacrest. Hosted by journalist Alfonso Egea, the program reconstructs significant Spanish criminal cases through forensic, legal, and police analysis. The show features an immersive studio environment and uses artificial intelligence to create virtual recreations of crime scenes.

Additionally, the investigative program ‘En el punto de mira’ returns to Cuatro on September 14, led by Boro Barber. This season integrates artificial intelligence to assist the journalist during field investigations. The series will cover diverse global topics, including AI-driven scams in Nigeria, humanoid robots in China, and investigations into public administration absenteeism and unauthorized longevity treatments.
