Media landscape shifts as Canal 26 gains ground and European networks relaunch programming

In Argentina, the news channel competition remains led by TN, though Canal 26 has seen significant growth. Following a programming renewal and the addition of several prominent journalists, Canal 26 managed to surpass La Nación+ in viewership for five consecutive hours during the morning slot in August.

In Spain, EL 9 TV is relaunching its afternoon magazine ‘Torn de Tarda’ with a focus on stories from central Catalonia. The network is also reinforcing its local media model through coproductions with La Xarxa, including the return of ‘Territori 17’ and the debut of the radio magazine ‘Rambla 54’.

Meanwhile, TV3 is preparing to return to its regular programming schedule after the summer break. While news broadcasts continued throughout the season, the network is now transitioning from summer-themed content back to its standard daily grid and regular presenters.
