Spanish towns celebrate bull meat with free tastings at Moraleja and Romancos festivals

In Moraleja, Cáceres, the penultimate day of the San Buenaventura festivities featured a popular tasting of more than 200 kg of traditional bull meat. The free portion, served with bread and drink in the Plaza de España, was organized by the Comisión Popular de Festejos 2026 and accompanied by children's activities and the handling of a bull from the Victorino Martín ranch.

In Romancos, Guadalajara, over 300 people attended the IV Concurso Gastronómico de Carne de Toro held at the Memorial Juan Antonio Flores. Ten teams prepared a range of bull‑meat dishes—including stews, steak tartare, ravioli, burritos and wraps—while a charitable fideuá raised €845 for the Mi Voz por tu Sonrisa association. The event also included family entertainment, a bullfight without picadors and a children’s cart run, organized by the Asociación Cultural Taurina Romancos al Campo.
