Spanish towns Estepa and Tarifa begin annual festivals

Local festivities have commenced in Estepa and Tarifa with the coronation of festival queens and traditional ceremonies.

In Estepa, Yaiza Garrido and José Antonio González were named the Youth Queen and King of the 2026 Feria de Estepa. The gala, held at the Paco Gandía Municipal Pavilion, featured flamenco dancing, music, and magic. The event included various other titles such as Miss and Mister Sympathy, Popular, and Photogenic, and was attended by local officials including Mayor Antonio Jesús Muñoz Quirós.

In Tarifa, Lucía López Alba was proclaimed the youth queen of the 2026 Feria, accompanied by a court of seven young women. Cayetana Sánchez Valencia was named the children's queen. The festivities included a keynote speech by the Almadraba group, which is celebrating 50 years of preserving the oral traditions and folklore of the Tarifa region.
