Spanish towns honor football doctor Celada and hurdler Llopis

The municipality of Luarca held a ceremony in Plaza Alfonso X el Sabio to honor Dr Óscar Luis Celada, the physician for the Spanish national football team and former professional player. He received thanks from local officials, who praised his dual career and discussed naming him a "hijo predilecto" of the town. The event also recognized civil‑engineer Íñigo Losada for his contributions to coastal projects.

In Bellreguard, the town council displayed the silver‑medal shirt of hurdler Quique Llopis Doménech in the town hall and sent him wishes of success ahead of the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham (10‑16 August). Llopis, Spain's 110 m hurdles champion and world‑indoor silver medallist, is currently ranked 14th globally and aims to improve on his recent European indoor silver finish.
